Broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen, water-resistant, in a lightweight finish meant for daily wear rather than beach days.
Made at our own facility on Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi, where we have been formulating since 1998.
If you buy one skincare product, buy this one
We sell serums and creams, and we would still say that. Daily sun protection does more for how skin looks over time than any other product in a routine, and it is the one that makes the others worth using. Pigmentation, uneven tone and the visible signs of ageing are all driven substantially by UV.
What the numbers mean
-
Broad-spectrum means it filters both UVB and UVA. UVB is the one that burns. UVA penetrates deeper, contributes to ageing and pigmentation, passes through window glass, and is present on cloudy days. A high SPF number alone tells you nothing about UVA, which is why broad-spectrum is the part to check.
-
SPF 50+ is at the top of the practical range. SPF 50 filters roughly 98% of UVB; SPF 100 does not double that. What matters far more is applying enough and reapplying.
-
Water-resistant means it holds up through sweat and water for a limited period, not that it is waterproof. Reapply after swimming or heavy sweating.
How to use it, and the mistake nearly everyone makes
Most people apply a quarter to a half of what the SPF rating is tested at, which means SPF 50 behaves closer to SPF 15 in practice.
- Roughly two finger-lengths for the face and neck. It will feel like more than you expect.
- Apply as the last step of your morning routine, after moisturiser, before makeup.
- Reapply every two hours outdoors, and after swimming, sweating or towel-drying.
- Do not forget ears, the back of the neck, and the backs of the hands.
This is not a summer product
UVA is present year-round and indoors near windows. Our note on why SPF is a year-round habit in Pakistan explains why, and what actually works on dark spots explains why it is the foundation of any pigmentation routine.
One caveat worth knowing: sunscreen blocks the wavelength that makes vitamin D in the skin. Wear it anyway, and if you are concerned about your level, test it. See vitamin D in Pakistan.
