A lightweight daily serum with 10% niacinamide and zinc PCA, formulated for oily and combination skin, and for the marks left behind after breakouts.

Made at our own facility on Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi, where we have been formulating since 1998.

What is in it, and what each one does

• Niacinamide 10% — vitamin B3. It interferes with the transfer of pigment to the skin's surface cells, which is why it helps with uneven tone and post-breakout marks. It also supports the skin barrier and helps moderate oil.
• Zinc PCA — works alongside it on oil production and visible shine.

On the concentration: 10% is the upper end of what is useful. Studies showing benefit mostly used 2% to 5%. Going higher increases the chance of irritation without adding much, so if your skin is sensitive, start every other day.

Why niacinamide is usually the right starting point

Of the common actives, this is the best tolerated. It does not need the careful introduction retinol does, it does not increase sun sensitivity the way acids do, and it plays well with almost everything else in a routine. If you are new to serums, start here.

How to use it

• Cleanse and dry the face first.
• Two to four drops across the face and neck.
• Follow with moisturiser, and sunscreen in the morning.
• Morning, evening, or both.

What to expect, honestly

Oil control and texture usually shift in four to six weeks. Pigmentation and post-acne marks take longer, often three months, because pigment sits at different depths and the skin turns over about monthly. Photographs in the same light once a month tell you more than memory does.

One mistake worth avoiding

Do not layer this with a vitamin C serum, an exfoliating acid and retinol all at once. Irritation itself triggers more pigment, so stacking actives can make uneven tone worse rather than better. Introduce one thing at a time.
