A lightweight day cream with niacinamide, alpha arbutin, a vitamin C derivative, licorice extract and hyaluronic acid, 50g. Formulated for uneven tone and dullness.
Made at our own facility on Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi, where we have been formulating since 1998.
What "brightening" means here, and what it does not
We should be direct about this, because the category is full of dishonest promises.
This cream is formulated to help even out patches of excess pigment and to add immediate radiance by hydrating and smoothing the surface. That is what the ingredients below do.
It will not change your skin colour, and we are not selling it as a whitening or fairness product. Those claims are not supported, and products that promise a dramatic change in a fortnight have repeatedly been found to contain mercury or unlabelled steroids. If a cream promises that, the speed itself is the warning sign.
What is in it, and what each one does
-
Niacinamide — interferes with the transfer of pigment to surface skin cells. Well tolerated, and the best starting point for uneven tone.
-
Alpha arbutin — a gentler pigment-inhibiting ingredient, commonly paired with niacinamide.
-
Licorice extract — traditionally used for the same purpose, and soothing.
-
Vitamin C derivative — an antioxidant that also slows pigment production. Derivatives are more stable than pure vitamin C in a cream base, which matters in Pakistani heat.
-
Hyaluronic acid — holds water in the upper layers. This is the part responsible for the immediate smoother, plumper look.
The part that actually determines whether it works
Sunscreen, every day. All pigmentation is driven or worsened by UV, so without daily protection this cream is working against a tap you have left running. If you only buy one of our products, buy the SPF.
How to use it, and what to expect
- Apply to clean skin, morning and evening.
- Sunscreen over the top in the morning, always.
- Hydration and radiance show immediately. Genuine change in pigmentation takes three to six months, and melasma needs ongoing maintenance or it returns.
- Do not stack this with an acid and retinol on the same day while you are starting. Irritation itself triggers more pigment.
Our guide to what actually works on dark spots explains the different kinds of pigmentation and realistic timelines.
Care
For external use only. Patch test before first use. Avoid the eye area. Stop if irritation persists. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
