Orbit Naturals Clear Acne Face Wash – Salicylic Acid 2% + Zinc PCA | Oil Control Cleanser for Blemish-Prone Skin | 100ml

A daily gel cleanser with 2% salicylic acid and zinc PCA, made for skin that turns oily and congested through the day. It is formulated to clean thoroughly without the tight, squeaky feeling that makes oily skin produce more oil, not less.

Made at our own facility on Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi, where we have been formulating since 1998.

What is in it, and what each one does

• Salicylic acid 2% — a beta hydroxy acid. Unlike most exfoliants it is oil-soluble, so it works inside the pore rather than only on the surface. That is why it suits congested skin, blackheads and blocked pores specifically.
• Zinc PCA — helps moderate how much oil the skin produces, which is the other half of the problem.

2% is the standard effective concentration for a wash. Higher is not better here, because a cleanser sits on the skin for a minute before it is rinsed off.

How to use it

• Wet the face with lukewarm water, not hot.
• Massage a small amount in for 30 to 60 seconds, which gives the salicylic acid time to work.
• Rinse and pat dry rather than rubbing.
• Follow with a moisturiser, even if your skin is oily. This matters more than people expect.
• Use sunscreen in the daytime. Exfoliating acids increase sun sensitivity.

Once or twice a day. If your skin feels tight or starts flaking, drop to once a day or every other day.

What to expect, honestly

Give it four to six weeks. Skin cells turn over roughly every month, so no cleanser can work faster than that whatever it contains. Oiliness usually settles before congestion clears.

What it will not do is treat acne. This is a cosmetic cleanser, not a medicine. Persistent or cystic acne, or acne that is leaving scars, needs a doctor rather than a face wash. Prescription treatments work on a different mechanism entirely, and waiting too long is how scarring happens.

The mistake we see most

Stripping oily skin makes it worse. Harsh cleansers, scrubbing and alcohol toners damage the barrier, and the skin compensates by producing more oil.
