A daily body lotion with shea butter and niacinamide, 300ml. Shea butter for the dryness, niacinamide for tone and barrier support.

Made at our own facility on Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi, where we have been formulating since 1998.

What is in it, and what each one does

• Shea butter — a rich emollient that softens rough skin and helps the skin hold water. This is what makes the lotion feel substantial without being greasy.
• Niacinamide — supports the skin barrier and helps even out patches of excess pigment. Well tolerated, including on sensitive skin.

On the word "bright"

We mean helping to even out uneven tone and lifting dullness that comes from dry, rough skin scattering light. Hydrated skin genuinely looks more luminous, and that part shows quickly.

We do not mean lightening your skin, and we are not selling it as a whitening product. Those claims are not supported, and creams promising a dramatic change in weeks have repeatedly been found to contain mercury or unlabelled steroids.

Where body skin differs from face skin

Body skin is thicker and generally more tolerant, but it is also drier, particularly on shins, elbows and knees, and it is washed with harsher products.

The single most useful habit: apply within a few minutes of a shower, while skin is still slightly damp. That traps water rather than just sitting on dry skin, and it makes more difference than which lotion you buy.

How to use it

• Apply generously to clean, slightly damp skin after bathing.
• Pay attention to shins, elbows, knees and heels.
• Daily, or twice daily in winter.
• Use sunscreen on exposed areas during the day. Hands, forearms and the back of the neck accumulate sun damage and are usually forgotten.

What to expect

Softness and comfort are immediate. Rough patches take two to four weeks of consistent use. Uneven tone takes months, and sun protection does more for it than any lotion — see what actually works on dark spots.

Care

For external use only. Patch test before first use. Avoid broken skin and the eye area. Stop if irritation occurs. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
