Prosaf is our moringa capsule, made from Moringa oleifera leaf. The tree grows across Pakistan and the leaf has been eaten and brewed here for generations, long before anyone called it a superfood.
Made at our own facility on Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi, where we have been formulating since 1998. The DRAP enlistment number, batch number and expiry date are printed on every pack.
What moringa leaf actually is
A leaf, dried and powdered. It contains a range of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals and plant compounds, which is why it is described as nutrient-dense. That is a fair description of the food.
What it is not is a treatment. You will find moringa sold online for diabetes, blood pressure, arthritis and weight loss. The research behind most of those claims is early, small, often in animals, and nowhere near strong enough to justify what is being promised. We are not going to repeat those claims to sell you a capsule.
Where it fits sensibly
As a convenient way to add a traditional leaf to your diet when you are not going to cook with it. That is the honest use case, and for a lot of people it is reason enough.
If your goal is more energy, it is worth checking the dull explanations first: iron, vitamin D, B12 and thyroid function all produce tiredness and are all cheaply testable. Our note on who actually needs B12 covers one of them.
How to take it
- Follow the dose on the pack, with water, after food.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Taking it after a meal reduces the chance of mild stomach upset, which is the most commonly reported effect.
Pack size: 30 capsules.
Who should check with a doctor first
- Anyone pregnant. Moringa root and bark are traditionally avoided in pregnancy, and the leaf has not been well studied, so this is a conversation worth having first.
- Anyone breastfeeding.
- Anyone on medication for blood sugar or blood pressure, since moringa may add to their effect.
- Anyone taking levothyroxine or other thyroid medication.
