Melaphin P is our men's daily formula, combining amino acids, botanical extracts, an antioxidant and zinc.
Made at our own facility on Adiyala Road, Rawalpindi, where we have been formulating since 1998. The amount of each ingredient per dose, the DRAP enlistment number, batch number and expiry date are printed on every pack.
What is in it
-
L-arginine, L-taurine and L-carnitine — amino acids. Arginine is a precursor to nitric oxide, which is involved in blood vessel dilation. Carnitine is involved in moving fatty acids into cells to be used for energy.
-
Tribulus terrestris, Panax ginseng and maritime pine bark extract — botanicals with a long record of traditional use in men's tonics.
-
Co-enzyme Q10 and vitamin E — antioxidants.
-
Zinc — an essential mineral.
What we will and will not claim
Of everything in this formula, only two carry established claims, and we are going to be straight about which:
-
Zinc contributes to normal fertility and reproduction, the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood, and normal immune function.
-
Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
The amino acids and botanicals are included on the basis of traditional use. "Traditionally used" means a long history of use for that purpose, not that trials have proved it works. This category makes some of the boldest promises in the supplement aisle and we are not going to join in.
What this is not
It is not a treatment for erectile dysfunction, infertility or low testosterone. Those are medical conditions with real causes — often diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid, medication side effects or cardiovascular disease — and they deserve diagnosis rather than a supplement.
Erectile difficulty in particular can be an early warning sign of cardiovascular disease. That is a reason to see a doctor, not to quietly buy capsules. Please do not use a supplement to avoid that conversation.
How to take it
Follow the dose on the pack, with water, after food, or as directed by your doctor. Do not exceed the stated dose. Give it a fair trial period rather than judging it in a week.
Who should check with a doctor first
- Anyone taking nitrates, blood pressure medication, or blood thinners. The arginine interaction here is genuinely important.
- Anyone with heart disease, low blood pressure, or diabetes.
- Anyone with a hormone-sensitive condition, including prostate conditions.
- Anyone on medication for depression or anxiety, as ginseng can interact.
- Anyone due for surgery.
Storage
